Writers voices be heard…

If the freedom of speech is not used then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.
George Washington

George Washington is my favorite president because he commanded an inferior Army that defeated the mighty British Empire and presided over the foundation of a nation that would become the most powerful force in human history to date.  He also spoke his mind when it wasn’t popular and with words that cut to the very soul of the American citizen.  His words made people look into a mirror and see that we are ONE.  I wonder what he would think of the United States today.  We are divided on every issue, hated by half of the world’s inhabitants, and turn our backs on the less fortunate that we call brothers and sisters not only in our country but the world.  It makes one think that if he had to do it all over again knowing what the future held would he take another course of action.  He spoke, he wanted all Americans to speak up stand up and be heard but not with bile against one another but with reverence of what we are and what we can become.  Are we sheep headed to the slaughter?  Does anyone care?  Take a moment to actually read the conversations that so called intelligent people share.  Start with social media then the news and then to one on one communication and ask yourself are you supporting the American dream or tearing it down brick by brick.  It’s refreshing to indulge and profit from the world of entertainment but try to use the Freedom of Speech to inform that our world our country is not the paradise that it can be…with your help we can at least strive to make it a paradise…it should be Freedom of Intelligent Speech, shouldn’t it…use the only platform you have George Washington did…
